My new blog, newsletter, or whatever it is...

Welcome!

I am Matlock Bobechko. I am currently a writer, editor, producer, and COO of Bible Discovery, a family-run international Christian ministry. I am also an elder at my local non-denominational church, The Uptown Church.

I was a little hesitant to start this newsletter, especially with paid subscriptions (if I do go paid). I’ve always viewed my work, whether written or visual, as free. I don’t like charging people. I never have, and I don’t think I ever will. It is one of the reasons why I joined a non-profit ministry in the first place. There was also a part of me that felt like I was prostituting myself a bit – staying open for dialogue felt like paying me for lip service! But I’ve come to terms that this is not the case. How often have you purchased a book to support the author’s work? This is no different. If you do become a subscriber, you’re an encouragement. Supporting my work helps me dig deeper to create more thoughtful content.

I don’t know exactly where I’m going with this newsletter, or if it should even be called a newsletter, I’m still working out the details, which is both refreshing and a change of character (I usually have all the details etched out before launch). But I can guarantee that I will produce solid, eclectic Christian content. I would love for you to subscribe and journey with me as I figure things out. Your input is most welcome!
